Why won't My Emerson TV stay on?
Thereof, how long do Emerson TVS last?
I bought a 40" Emerson TV about 3 and 1/2 years ago at WalMart and it stopped working yesterday. For what I can read from other customers apparently the lifespan of an Emerson is about 6 months to three years maximum.
Additionally, what to do if your TV is on but the screen is black? Here's how you would fix a black or blank screen on your TV.
- Ensure that the power sources for all your devices (TV, digital box, VCR, etc.)
- Check that your TV is set to the correct input.
- Unplug the power cord from your digital box, wait for 30 seconds, then plug it in again.
In respect to this, how do I fix my TV if it wont turn on?
If the television still won't turn on, turn your TV off at the wall and unplug it from the plug socket. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and switch it on. This is called a 'soft reset', and should recalibrate the TV.
How do I reset my Emerson TV without a remote?
To run a factory reset, locate the reset button on the connector panel. It's a small, recessed button that requires a pen to hold down. Hold it for 15 to 30 seconds to reset the television. Alternatively, reset from your remote by locating the "Settings," "Advanced Settings" and "Factory Reset" option.
