Why did Percy Jackson go to the underworld?
Thereof, how did Percy Jackson get to the underworld?
In The Lightning Thief, the first book of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, Percy must take a cross-country trip from Long Island, New York to Los Angeles, California to enter the underworld. From there, they are able to trick Cerberus and find their way into the Underworld to meet with Hades.
Secondly, what actually happens when Percy takes the lightning bolt to Zeus? Zeus opened his palm. The lightning bolt flew into it. As he closed his fist, the metallic points flared with electricity, until he was holding what looked more like the classic thunderbolt, a twenty-foot javelin of arcing, hissing energy that made the hairs on my scalp rise.
Also to know is, why did Percy ask Chiron about the underworld?
He says: "The beginnings of an idea - a tiny, hopeful fire - started forming in my mind." What does he mean? He hopes that his mother is not really dead. If she is in the Underworld, he could go there and save her.
What monsters did Percy Jackson fight?
- Alecto and the other Furies.
