Is it bad to mix regular and plus gas?
In this manner, is it OK to mix gas types?
With most engines, there is no advantage to using higher-octane fuels. In the majority of engines, it will run equally well with any specification of fuel that meets the required rating. Mixing fuel grades will have little if any effect.
Furthermore, can you switch back and forth between regular and premium gas? Does it affect the car's engine if we keep switching between regular and premium gas? It does not unless your engine is designed to run on premium fuel. All gas engines can run on premium but not all of them can run on regular. All gas engines can run on premium but not all of them can run on regular.
Moreover, is it okay to mix unleaded gas with premium gas?
Mixing gas (octane) is ok. the only time you would have to use premium is if you mod your car by installing a supercharger or turbo. I've got an old corolla and it makes no sense using premium. As long as the gas is unleaded, using the lowest octane is good enough.
Can premium fuel damage engine?
The higher octane gives premium gas greater resistance to early fuel ignition, which can result in potential damage, sometimes accompanied by audible engine knocking or pinging. Premium gas is not “stronger” gas.
