Is ip55 motor suitable for outdoor use?
Thereof, what IP rating is suitable for outdoor use?
The ratings widely accepted as 'waterproof' for most general purposes are IP65, IP66 and IP67. However, one common misconception regarding weatherproofing is that items intended for prolonged outdoor use require the highest numerical IP ratings for moisture resistance.
Secondly, is ip44 suitable for outdoor use? Unless the exterior ceiling lights are under direct rain or contact with water, you can safely use IP44 or even IP23 rated pendant lights or ceiling mounted lights under the right cover.
Regarding this, is ip65 suitable for outdoors?
So summary, IP65 internal fittings are fine to use properly outside, as long as you enclose them if you can reasonably expect water to manage to get to the back of them.
Is ip55 waterproof?
Before we dig deep into the details, let's start by saying an IP55 certification makes our headphones water-resistant, but not waterproof. We don't recommend completely submerging AfterShokz headphones underwater (despite customer claims that their Titanium made it through a few spins in the washing machine).
