How do you reset the SRS light on a 2001 Honda Accord?
Just so, how do I fix the SRS light on my 2000 Honda Accord?
Re: SRS light is on - accord 2000 ex (annicus)
- Verify and make sure the ignition is switched OFF.
- Connect the 2 pins in the MES with a paper clip or metal object.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- The SRS Indicator Light should come on for 6 seconds and then go off.
- The SRS Indicator Light should come back on agian.
Also, why is my SRS light on in my 2000 Honda Accord? The SRS light is a warning light for your supplemental restraint system (airbags). An SRS light means that there is a problem in the system. The first thing I would check is the fuse for the SRS unit. The only way to check this is with a scan tool of some sort.
Beside this, how do you reset the SRS light on a Honda Accord?
With this connection made, turn the ignition key to the "on" position (do not start the engine). The SRS will illuminate for two seconds, then turn off. When the light turns off, disconnect the shorting wire to un-short the circuit. The SRS light will turn on again.
What causes SRS light to stay on?
If the SRS light stays on or starts flashing on and off, you may have a problem with the airbags themselves, a loose wire, a faulty seat belt buckle, or a problem with the Engine Control Unit (ECU) that is causing the airbag warning light to stay on.
