Can you bring water bottles into Smithsonian museums?
Also asked, can I bring a water bottle into the Smithsonian?
We do allow backpacks in our museum. We have a limited number of lockers available should you wish to store it, but it is not required. Visitors are permitted to bring in food and beverages in resealable containers inside a backpack or other bag.
Secondly, can you bring backpacks into Smithsonian museums? While permitted, we recommend not bringing large daypacks, backpacks, or luggage into the museums, as they will be subject to a thorough search in each building entered. Visitors may carry (but not consume) outside food in the museums. Many items are prohibited at all Smithsonian museums.
Also know, what can you not take into the Smithsonian?
The following items are NOT PERMITTED in the Museum:
- selfie sticks.
- pen knives.
- open containers of food and drinks.
Can you bring water into Air and Space Museum?
No Food and Drink: Food and drink are not permitted in the Museum. There is no dining area beside the Museum restaurant, so if you bring food, you must consume it outside. Only bottled water is permitted in the Museum.
