Are polycarbonate sheets flexible?
Then, which is more flexible acrylic or polycarbonate?
Polycarbonate has 250 times the impact resistance of glass. Acrylic is very rigid whereas polycarbonate can be bought in flexible grades. Acrylic cracks more easily than polycarbonate under stress.
Secondly, what can break polycarbonate? They must be coated with a scratch resistant coating. Although a number of people tend to believe that polycarbonate materials have high impact resistance and hence they cannot be broken; the possibility of cracking must not be overlooked.
In respect to this, can you see through clear polycarbonate?
10mm blue twin wall polycarbonate is unbreakable! At first glance, it might seem like the perfect material to put around a pool or hot tub because…you can see through it! And while it is a much stronger material, polycarbonate is actually lighter than glass for easy maneuvering and installation.
What does polycarbonate look like?
Polycarbonate (PC) plastics are a naturally transparent amorphous thermoplastic. Although they are made commercially available in a variety of colors (perhaps translucent and perhaps not), the raw material allows for the internal transmission of light nearly in the same capacity as glass.
