Are artifact lands banned in Commander?
Also asked, why are artifact lands banned?
The artifact lands heavily contributed to the dominance of the affinity-based deck archetypes, and thus, in March 2005, all six were banned from Standard (Darksteel Citadel however, was later reprinted in Magic 2015, and the ban did not carry over with the reprint.)
Also Know, why is gifts Ungiven banned in Commander? But the fact of the matter is Gifts is banned solely because the rules committee deemed it redundant/notfun. There's really no arguing it's power against something like Protean hulk, which they recently unbanned. Gifts really isn't all that powerful in the world of edh.
Correspondingly, what's Banned in Commander?
COMMANDER BANNED CARDS 25 cards with the Card Type “Conspiracy." Click here for list. 9 cards that reference "playing for ante." Click here for list. Ancestral Recall. Black Lotus.
Do artifact lands trigger alela?
Most of the time it's no problem for a card to be both a land and an artifact. Artifacts also trigger effects that trigger whenever a spell is played. Lands, on the other hand, do not use the stack, and cannot be countered, and don't count as spells, and can only be played once per turn.
